Community Outreach &
Partnerships
Our service and outreach opportunities are as diverse as our Soroptimist sisters. Everyone can find an activity to which they enjoy contributing. Activities grow and change with our membership.

About Days For Girls
More than 500 million people worldwide do not have what they need to manage their periods. Days for Girls provides cost-effective, safe, sustainable and contextually relevant products to help women and girls manage their periods and engage in livelihoodactivities.
SI-FDL partners with the Green Bay WI Team to sew Days for Girls Pads that will be assembled into a Days for Girls Kit.

About Women's History
Soroptimist International of Fond du Lac hosts an event that highlights women in history, ideally during March, Women’s History Month. Past events featured a cemetery walk that visited graves of locally significant women, as well as impersonations and/or portrayals of Eleanor Roosevelt, Dolly Madison, Georgia O’Keefe and Helen Keller. In recent years, SI-FDL also partners with the Fond du Lac Public Library to sponsor the March speaker at the public library’s “History at Home” Event.

About Foundation Feminarum
This foundation, begun in 1990, started as a little “acorn” fund with the Fond du Lac Area Foundation and has grown into a full-fledged component. Its bylaws state that the annual interest, less 10 percent for reinvestment, is given to a single project or individual that directly affects the lives of women in Fond du Lac or Dodge County. This is an annual award.
